To support our customers in their success, we are looking for the right type of person to join our team as an Electronics Technician.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Building and wiring control panels
  • Testing and troubleshooting circuit boards
  • Wiring finished machines and integrated systems
  • Configuring sensors, barcode readers, pneumatics, and other third-party devices

Education

2-year Associates degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in Electronics or Automation Technology is required.

Qualifications

  • 0-5 years of experience in an electronics or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Experience wiring industrial control panels
  • Familiarity with multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to perform basic soldering and cable assembly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform schematic capture
  • Experience with component-level troubleshooting
  • Technical writing ability
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors, electric motors, basic pneumatics

Required Skills:

  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to clearly communicate with other departments
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Good time management

Job Description:

  • New circuit board project management and design specification
  • Mixed-signal hardware design on new and existing PCBs
  • Electronic component specification
  • Schematic Capture
  • Printed circuit board layout
  • Communication with sales, production, and mechanical departments
  • Give work direction to and work with electrical technicians
  • Component-level troubleshooting of circuit boards
  • Creation of installation, assembly, and test procedures
  • Design and fabrication of test fixtures
  • Maintain and improve consistency of schematic and layout parts libraries
  • Assisting in testing designs to CE standards

Education/Qualifications: BSEE or similar degree with 5+ years’ experience designing embedded hardware

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with OrCAD or other schematic capture
  • Experience designing motor drives
  • Experience with ARM microcontrollers
  • Experience with CAN, USB, & Ethernet communication
  • Experience with EMC/EMI, ESD, and safety certification
  • Experience with PCB Layout
  • Ability to solder PCBs and cabling
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools

Job Description:

Schematic Capture for circuit boards and control panels
Mixed-signal hardware design and component specification
Creation of installation, assembly, and test procedures
Component-level troubleshooting of circuit boards
Configuration and testing of finished machines
Specification of automation components such as sensors, barcode readers, vision systems, and pneumatics
Design of UL-compliant control panels
Printed circuit board layout
PLC programming
Design and fabrication of test fixtures

Education: BSEE or similar degree

Qualifications:
0-5 years experience in an electronics or manufacturing environment
Ability to read schematics

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with OrCAD or other schematic capture
